Joe Quinn was enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for nine years and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science before joining the University of Chicago in 2022. During his time at the University of Chicago, he worked as a research assistant at the Center for the Economics of Human Development, where he contributed to a randomized control trial on the effects of home visiting programs on childhood development and lifetime outcomes. He has also contributed to ongoing research on the effectiveness of veterans’ programs on incarcerated and justice-impacted veterans in Illinois. He graduated in 2024 from the Harris School of Public Policy with a Master of Public Policy degree, with specializations in data analytics and social and economic inequality. He is now a predoctoral research assistant working with Kristina Butaeva.
