Lixing Li is a professor of economics at the National School of Development, Peking University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland. He has broad research interests in development economics, public finance, labor economics, and digital economy. His recent research projects include AI and jobs, firm taxation and state capacity, and lastly platform and entrepreneurship. He has taught various courses for undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. students, including Chinese Economy, Intermediate Microeconomics, a Seminar on Economic Research, Public Finance, and Political Economy of China’ s Economic Growth.
