Fern Ramoutar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Toronto. She studies topics in real estate and urban economics, using tools from empirical industrial organization and applied microeconomics. Her current work includes projects on market power in residential real estate, quality degradation in affordable housing markets, and the determinants of gentrification. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2025.
