Gerardo Espinal Franco is the Assistant Director of the Stone Center for Research on Wealth Inequality and Mobility. He oversees the center’s research operations, educational programs, and start-up initiatives. Prior to joining the center, Espinal Franco was a Captain in the Marine Corps, where he served as a Manpower Officer in Okinawa, Japan, and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He is also a UChicago alumnus with an M.A. in Humanities with a concentration in philosophy. His professional and academic experience inspired his interest in ethical leadership, institutional values, and public policy.
