Ngina Chiteji is an Associate Professor at New York University’s Gallatin School and Associate Professor of Public Service at the NYU Wagner School. Her research covers topics such as retirement saving, the distribution of household wealth in the United States, how to properly measure debt in national surveys, intergenerational correlations in outcomes, the criminal justice system, and macroeconomic policy. She is also interested in the influence of morality on social and economic life. In addition to her work in academia, Chiteji is a former employee of the U.S. Congressional Budget Office and a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Social Insurance.
