Gregorio (Greg) Caetano is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Georgia. Greg’s research encompasses a wide array of topics in labor economics, urban economics, and econometrics, with a particular focus on both the methodological and substantive aspects of inequality. Recently, he has studied topics in segregation, human capital, and child development using a variety of methodologies designed for causal inference.

Greg received his B.A. in Economics from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in 2000, his M.A. in Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in 2003, and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009. He was an Assistant Professor at University of Rochester before joining UGA in 2018.
